Priorities, Practices and Expected Outcomes: A National Adult Day Study, being conducted in partnership with MetLife Mature Market Institute and the Ohio State University College of Social Work, has identified 4,601 day programs operating in the United States. This is a 26 percent increase from 2002, when Wake Forest University through the Partners in Caregiving Program counted 3,407 programs. Information about the adult day industry is urgently needed to improve quality of care and to advocate for future funding. The final results of the study have not yet been published, so please stay tuned. For more information, please contact Dr. Holly Dabelko-Schoeny, co-principle investigator.
