In April of 2009, the "National Framework for Geriatric Home Care Excellence" initiative, spearheaded by the Visiting Nurse Service of New York (VNSNY) Center for Home Care Policy and Research with funding from the John A. Hartford Foundation, released its evidence briefs, recommendations, and other resources designed to define home care excellence and shape the future of home health services for older people.
The Framework’s purpose is to mobilize home health care agencies and other stakeholders in efforts to improve home care for older people and to serve as a foundation on which agencies and stakeholders can build quality improvement efforts.
