A new report from the Society of Actuaries' Long-Term Care Insurance Section and the Intercompany Long-Term Care Insurance Conference Association explores functional and cognitive trends among assisted living facility residents. The report examines data on long-term care policyholders.
This is an excellent source of data on who is living in assisted living, their disability and cognitive impairment levels, and how these change over time. In addition, it examines factors associated with moving into an assisted living facility rather than a nursing home. The study results can be found here. (Steve Maag, AAHSA, (202) 508-9498)
